Our client, a leader in the foundry investment castings industry, seeks a General Manager - Investment Castings who is confident in face to face discussions with all levels of personnel, customers and/or suppliers with a proven background, a high level of technical expertise, a minimum of 10 years in a foundry casting leadership role, experience in machining/Machine Shop and excellent negotiation, communication, time management, analytical, team work, problem solving and presentation skills.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Take full responsibility for the delivery of product against the company plan ensuring on time, cost effective delivery of a quality product. Serve as a part of the senior management team and will contribute to tactical decision making and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring site operates in a safe and environmentally responsible manner ensuring compliance to, and reinforces processes in line with local and international Health & Safety standards.
Developing and meeting the expectations of all employees on site through production management systems and key performance indicators.
Ensuring finished products are supplied on time in line with customer expectations and the customer is supported through technical support.
Complying with all on site company financial aspects in line with company budgetary requirements.

Minimum 10 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in operations/engineering environment
Demonstrated track record for delivering results and in developing marketing and sales strategies
Demonstrated experience planning and organizing work and processes and leading multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Analytical and reasoning ability and good judgment for complex business decisions and strategic planning
Demonstrated knowledge and leadership of marketing, engineering, purchasing, financial planning, business planning, and operations
Ability to motivate staff through proper direction and mentoring to build a culture focused on setting and achieving appropriate stretch goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly, comfortably and effectively provide written and verbal instructions and compile and present business reports/correspondence
Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth
Demonstrated Interpersonal and supervisory skills, such as emotional competency, coaching, providing feedback, and evaluating performance of subordinates, and the ability to coach and motivate employees to achieve management expectations and assigned performance criteria
Demonstrated conflict resolution, negotiation, and customer relation skills
Driven and passionate; naturally driven with the ability to demonstrate a passion for the business that ensures the achievement of results.
Hands-on leadership style; highly interactive; equally comfortable in the field and the board room.
Preference for empowering subordinates, delegating authority and monitoring results.

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline required an additional MBA is preferred.
Proven track-record of P&L responsibility.
